Want to save the Dogwood!

Discussion in 'Cornus (dogwoods)' started by Lisa, Apr 19, 2004.

  1. We moved into an older house and started to remodel. During July of 2003 we had to move our Dogwood. We moved it at the wrong time of year, but chose a spot on our property in which a 50 year old Camphor tree shades it. When we peel back branches it still looks alive, however, there are no leaves. My question is, when do they usually bloom and when will the leaves return. Do we have a chance that this beauty can be saved? Any advice will help!

Where are you posting from - the camphor tree suggests someplace fairly mild?
