I have purchased a 4 foot weeping willow cutting 2 years ago and it is now between 6 and 7 feet tall. I have a main trunk with several smaller branches protruding from the lower portion of the trunk. I want to remove these smaller branches as I feel it will direct more growth to the rest of the tree. Can I do this without harming the tree? I will post a picture if necessary.
    Thanks, Steve
