We really like the look of a traditional spring blossom tree - is there one that is pink - does not make any fruit (bears are tempted) - and is small size (max 15 feet tall and approx 10 foot width) with traditional branching (no weeping tree look for us). Has to be easy care, low water use once established - and roots must be NOT invasive tho enough to support strong wind gusts during storms from SE/SW (pavers and retaining wall around it). Must be friends with Doug Fir and Cedar and Salal near beach in greater VAncouver BC. Thank you.

Ribes sanguineum. Makes currants but I doubt that would result in much bear activity.
