Walnut propogation

    I harvested many walnuts from my sister's house in Hatzic and I thought it would be nice to have my own walnut trees. These are the regular "eating", not the black walnut, which I understand are different. Any tips on how to propogate the seed, I would imagine, simply bury the nut whole, but how deep and how long would you say it takes to have a tree that would bear fruit. I am on 5 acres and have lots of room.
