This plant appeared in a small plot where I put sunflower and german chamomile seeds. About half of the sunflower seeds sprouted and none of the german chamomile that I am aware of. This is a volunteer and there may be others of same species but all the other little unknowns are tiny. I hope it is a goodly plant as opposed to an unpopular type :-) I could transplant it to be off the curb, better positioned. Do you know what it is? I don't even know if it would be called a shrub or a flower.

This is Amaranthus albus, a weedy herbaceous plant.
