Volunteer in the yard, in-laws say Sweet Pea Tree

    There are two of these in the yard in Saginaw, MI. The in-laws called them Sweet Pea Tree, but it looks like a Locust. I’m unsure if the pink fuzzy stem is early Locust, though.

    One of the pubescent Robinia species, perhaps Robinia hispida, given those red hairs on the stem. Fortunately, a lot less aggressive than the common Black Locust R. pseudoacacia.
