    I don't think its hops. This has compound leaves with 7 leaflets.

    Maybe Fatsia japonica , Japanese aralia .

    No it's not, the pic looks more like a shrub to me. Not sure what it would be if not Fatsia, which can have 1 1/2' petioles. Are flower buds evident, fatsia is fall flowering, but the plant may be too young to flower ? Fatsia has been crossed with Hedera, ivy.

    It looks somewhat similar to my Brazilian Morning glory, except the leaves are a lighter green.

    No flowers or buds to be seen.

    Are the leaves opposite? Does it have tendrils?

    Leaves are opposite. It appears to have tendrils.
    Has prickly kind of stems, they cling to clothing.

    smivies had it half right. It is Japanese hops, Humulus japonicus.
