Vine with Red Fruit

    I would love to know what this vine is. I found it growing wild inside the city. The fruit is about 1 inch in diameter, a beautiful red and covered with the strange webbing until ripe. Birds (or something) love it because most of the fruit was bitten into and the seeds eaten--there doesn't seem to be anything inside of the fruit except some seeds. Sort of like a balloon

    Thank you so much. I actually have a passion vine in my back yard, but it has never produced fruit. To my knowledge I have never seen the fruit of the passion vine. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley and have known of passion vine all my life. Wow, what a revelation.
