Does anyone know what this might be? I don't think it is poison oak, ivy or sumac. The berries turn real dark black (almost the color of a black currant), but I don't think it is a black currant (the pictures I can find have different leaves). Anyone with any ideas? TIA

Looks like it may be a problem in your area.

It is considered an invasive weed in Florida. Check to see if that's the case in Houston. If so, you may want to remove it.

Yep. I'm planning on taping some ziplock baggies full of roundup to it. Thanks!!

That's a new technique to me. If you are worried about overspray, try a paint roller on a long handle or sandwich some leaves between the roller and a peice of plywood. Roll slow enough that it doesn't fling off onto non-target plants.

For creeping vines, etc. it's real common down here. Basically use electrical or duct tape to hold it on the vine and the plant will suck up the roundup and die.
