I got this plant from a Vietnamese friend that he says was used very widely for everything from stomach ache to broken bones. It has beautiful red and yellow flowers in May/June and has a cane like habit with 4-5' canes.

Is there anyone who knows about this ,the scienticic name or any research on it?

Looks like a clearer photograph may be required.

The flowers are past. But here is a recent picture below. The plants are still young a single cane last year and two or three new ones this year. The parent plant was quite a ball of canes. What I was hoping for was that someone knew about the use from Viet Nam. Those who I have talked to claimed it was basically the entire medicine cabinet for the Viet Cong.
