I am lazy —- so I didn’t look at past years for this map location

is this normal bloom time? For this location

if not - are trees stressed?

Yes, normal for any location. The pink version of the Cherry of the 10th month. They get going around here (and Victoria) in December/January.
They have not been posted before in Victoria.

 

Nice pair of ‘Whitcomb’ trees on Yates and Broad in Victoria. Visible from two blocks away.

 

The ‘Fudan-zakura’ located at GoodAcreLake posted by JenD on March 9, 2009 is still standing. It is past peak bloom on February 26, 2025.

 

Grand old ‘Shiro-fugen’ at the BC Legislature.

 

Not many cherry trees blooming in Victoria as of February 24.

‘Whitcomb’ are not blooming yet except for this loner on Gordon and Humboldt, and it is only just starting.

 

The ‘Fudan-zakura’ at Good Acre Lake in Beacon Hill Park does not look well. I was lucky to see even a few blossoms today.
