In 1994 when my father died, his WWII buddies had a live plant sent from a local florist. It grew slowly until I moved to Surfside Beach, SC and once it was placed outside, it grew very fast. We would bring it in during the winter as it was very apparently not cold hardy. I retarded it's upward growth in order for it to fit downstairs but this year, with the help of two strong men, Vergle was brought upstairs where I have a vaulted ceiling. He's now starting to grow again. I have no idea what this plant/tree is so that I can give it optimal care, although after almost 20 years I've been doing something right. Can anyone tell me what Vergle is? (Named after my Daddy)
