Each morning we find that the flowers on our verbinas have been neatly clipped off and
placed in a pile in the center of the pot.
Even happens to the ones in the hanging baskets, it's a mystery!!!

I once watched a little mouse carefully clip the flower heads off of verbena (I believe it was) in a window box. He/she? did not do anything more than that. It was actually very amusing to me. I guess because they were not my window boxes.

Our verbena flower remover may well be a little mouse, plus its little friends. Flowers from three hanging baskets and four containers on the deck are attacked each night. With neat little piles of flowers at each of the plant locations plus a few calling cards.
None of the other flowers are touched.
I wonder what the relationship is between the mouse and the verbena, could be the beginning of a children's bed-time story.
