I have enjoyed seeing the V virides in the alpine and even in Lynn Headwaters on the Mainland and in recent years found what may be a relative near sea level on Southern Vancouver Island. It is quite difficult to photograph but this year got a decent one ...

Leaves are much smaller than viride, and narrower, max 4 cm wide by maybe 17 cm long, very lanceolate and similarly striated (correct word?), plant is much shorter, max ~75 cm, flowers fairly inconspicuous, small like viride and greenish-purplish in general but form seems different than its big cousin, at least the one in W'pedia.

No great pics of the leaves but flowers are good. Any ideas?

With typical orchid flower structure - something Veratrum doesn't have.
