I have four vegetable beds. Two beds have brussel sprouts and cabbages which are grown up. The sweet peppers have flowered and I have protected them with cloches (home made). Two weeks back I sowed lettuce, spinach and beets on two beds. The seedlings are ready. I am just wondering if I need to protect the seedlings with a mini greenhouse for a month or two or is it just fine. Maybe I am overtly worried!
Anyone with experience growing vegetables in the lower mainland of Vancouver, BC could easily suggest something.
    Thanks

This time of year vegetable seedlings need no protection at all in the Vancouver area. Just make sure that they don't dry out. I assume that they were grown in sunshine; so they won't get sunburnt.
