This photograph was taken whilst walking the Aphrodite trail on the Akamas Peninsula in Cyprus in early April this year.

I know it is a species of Valerian but which one?

In England I have only ever seen white Valerian flowers on Valeriana officinalis; although I know it is possible that they can vary through to pink. Could this be Valeriana officinalis?

Please can anyone help me to make a more specific identification?

Hm, not V. officinalis... the leaves are different... :( (Hm, maybe V. dioica?)
