I have a 15" Saguaro which I purchased in a local store in 1985. I also have a 5" Saguaro and a 3" Golden Barrel cactus. All in various size clay pots. We are going away for 5 weeks at the end of May. Could someone tell me if it is safe to leave them that long without water? I plan to deep soak them before we leave. I also plan to fumigate the house with a fogger containing Pyrenthrins .050% when we leave because our kitten made us a present of fleas!. Is this advisable or could the chemical harm the cactus. I have two 5' Saguaros outside our front door, but would not want to put these little guys outside for that long. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
