Urban trees could cut extreme heat by up to 6 degrees

    This is true! I have experienced this before. The officials have cut down the trees around my area and it gotten so hot lately!

    Agree more trees definitely needed. Our local council is promoting this accross the borough this year. And we can chose a favourite to be planted. Win win!!

    Yeah, I read about that too. Urban trees and grasses can lower daytime land temperatures by up to 5-6℃ during extreme heat. The largest temperature reductions were in the hottest suburbs and those further away from the coast
