Identification: Upright, opp. toothed arrow shaped leaves

    The person who sold me this plant said it was Devils Backbone, however I don't think it is. The leaves are arranged opposite on an upright stalk, they are long arrowhead shaped, variegated on back and toothed with offshoots coming from the teeth. The offshoots have roots and 2 leaves that drop and start new plants. The leaves are also thick like a succulent.

    The little leaves around the edge of the leaves are babies. If not pinched off and planted when a little larger, they will eventually fall back down into the soil and root.

    Not that I love using common names but this is an example of a highly appropriate one for a change... Mother of Millions.

    Thanks Bluewing and Chungii V! Yep, found that out about the babies, they sneak into other plant's soil. I guess this is kind of a weed plant, but I like it's uniqueness.

    I thought that the common name was "Mother of Thousands"...but what's a few hundred more or less?
