    Hello Jen,

Last December, my Son and his family sends me a fruit basket. With so many different kinds of nuts. What I did to the Almond, even I did surprise my self, because it did germinate, but it took 7weeks.

Hold the Almond nut on the rounded side.
With a plant clipper snip the pointed side of the nut.
you have to be sure that you do nut cut to much.
What you want to do is to help the nut to have a head start.
Try to snip the end of the nut for the first time, try not to cut the meat of the nut.
After you cut the pointed end of the Almond nut, put it in a potting soil.
Be sure it is not deep.
Don't water to much, it will get rotten.
It took 7 weeks to start to germinate.

My One of the Almond tree is 4' ft. tall, and the other one is just over a foot high.
very slow growing. Both are looking very good.

I hope you will have luckand be happy to try it this way.

    Good luck,
    Homestaymom
