A friend sent me these pics of a gorgeous white flower, that they had seen in Glendoick gardens in Scotland in the last week of May. I have not been able to id it... but am sure someone here will be able to help.

While having a look around for good pics I stumbled on this one... dated 26th May 2007, that says Glendoicks have been trying to grow it from seed without sucess.
