I have a rather odd rose (floibunda?) growing in a container on the patio.
It is red in colour and opens normally from bud, then other buds start to grow from the
CENTRE of the flower! After full flower the petals fall and these secondary buds develop. Also-- some of the blooms on the same plant are normal.
    Any explanations would be appreciated.

I've never actually seen it before, it's facinating thankyou for the pics. Having said that i do know what this is.
It's a disorder called proliferation and caused by damage to the growing point of the bud at a very early stage by either frost, insect damage or even a virus.

This is called Rose Proliferation. A genetic deformity.

Thank you all, gardeners, for your interesting and informative comments.
No need for me to take cuttings and name it after myself, then. Just burn it to kill the virus. Damn!!
I'll replace it with a Dahlia; my favourite, but I don't know much about them either.
