I took this photo in Tuscany: I would like to know what plant it is because it looks quite unusual to me. It is a small tree or great shrub, about 2-3 m tall, flowering in early autumn (in my zone) and with peculiar leaves.

    One of the double-flowered cultivars.

Thanks a lot; in fact, I know the plant, but I've usually seen only single-flowered ones. I guess it might be a 'Ardens' or a 'Lavender Chiffon' cultivar.
