Unusual bloom in Iceland.

    Here's a tough one. A plant that's already gone to seed.

    I took this in Iceland a few years ago.

    It has the hair of a Dr. Suess character.

    Any idea what it is?

    Could be Cotton grass, Eriophorum angustifolium.

    That's what it looks like to me too. Good call. Is there a naturalized patch in Iceland?

    E. angustifolium and E. scheuchzeri are both listed as natives in Iceland.
