I received this as a house plant that no one recognizes, please give me info about it.

It is very glossy green with very large leaves radiating from a fleshy trunk. Little wheat grain size blooms appear on the trunk. It seems to be growing into a tree.

Can you post a picture of it? What you're describing could be any number of tropical plants, from Dieffenbachia to a Rubber Tree.

It's actually fairly simple; click the "Go Advanced" and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Otherwise, try hosting separately on a site like Flikr or Photobucket, and link across.

Huh. That grows down here, but I've got no idea what it is.... I'll keep looking though. Is the stem 4-sided?

    Agree, now that I know it's 5-sided.

yeah, that's what it is...very cool plant!!

i got seeds for that...a while ago (another forum and someone else posted looking for an id and had seeds). any idea if they'd still be viable?? the seeds have been kept in an airtight container away from strong light and extremes in heat/cold.

They may still be, Joc - Euphorb seeds have an amazing open time, especially under those storage conditions. Plant 'em and see!
