Well, I'm stumped. This (formerly half-dead) 10' tall tree is now producing massive clumps of yellow trumpet-shaped flowers and long beans that resemble runnerbeans. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
It would be very cool if it was Pau D'arco; but it's still got all its leaves along with the flowers. I understand that one of the signs for Tabebuia is that they go deciduous when they bloom...
Maybe Tecoma castanifolia, which is native to Ecuador. See TROPICOS database at http://mobot.mobot.org/cgi-bin/search_vast Search on this name, then click on "Specimen lists and maps" button.
