Can anyone tell me the name of this vine. My mother-in-law always called it Silver Lace. I have looked Silver Lace up on the internet. I don't believe this is a Silver Lace.
It blooms in Aug. grows very fast and can stand 40 below temp. Thanks for any help.

i've been looking for that one for the past few years...if you can collect some seeds, i'd be happy to send you the postage and/or send you something in trade.

Leaf shape may indicate it is actually another species of clematis. There is more than one in cultivation with small white scented flowers late in the season.

Ron I believe your right. I looked at the leaf on the sweet autumn clematis and it's not the same as my vine. I'll try and get a good picture of the leaf and post that.

joclyn if you would still like a some of this plant I can mail you some. We try to keep it tamed but stems fall on the ground and roots very easily. It's getting into my other plants so we're planing on digging up all the extras that rooted.

This is what the leaf looks like. It's very soft on a thin stem. They always grow in threes.
