Looks like a Dracaena. I've never seen one do that before, though.

Looks like a rather old, mistreated Drac of some sort. I'd cut off the tops of the ones hanging down and reroot and repot them. They tend to reroot easily. Get rid of the gnarled, hanging stems and basically start them over with just the tops. Keep whats in the pot and if the starts don't take, you still have some of the plant. I tend to be v e r y careful when I do the "whacky choppy" bit, unless it's a plant I've already messed with successfully. I'm basically a real coward. Others that have been doing this as a mater of course for years may give you better advice.

could be a drac or it could be a yucca. y. elephantides possibly.

with that growth pattern, it looks like the container it's in was on it's side for quite a long time. as already mentioned, you can cut it, allow the bottom ends to callous over and then plant them...the main stalks will sprout new growth.

so, you'll double the amount of plants you have in no time!

Your unhappy looking cornplant or Dracaena fragrans may need more light? Is it getting adequate water drainage? They do not like to stay moist a the roots....
