    Need help id'ing this guy.

    Found along a riverbank in southern Ontario (Toronto).

    Any clues?

    Elm (Ulmus), with slender gray twigs maybe U. pumila.

    Ulmus pumila might be considered invasive, but the native Ulmus americana wouldn't be. I agree that this is likely the former.
