Unknown tree with pods

I would like to know what kind of tree this is. Thank you for any help you can provide. It was photographed near Beirut Lebanon in early July of this year. The photos show green pods, dried pods (from the same tree), and the entire tree.

 

Looks like Brachychiton sp. (B. rupestris?)

 

Thank you for the suggestions. I followed up on what you wrote, and could this be Brachychiton populneus? Some photos online of the fruit resemble the ones in my photos.
