Hello! I was just wondering if someone could help me out. I have an unknown plant growing in my garden. It is very tall and skinny, At first, I thought it was a tulip, because the leaves were very similar, and it started off about the same size as a tulip plant. But then, I noticed that it started getting very tall, unusually tall for a tulip. It is currently about my height and still not flowering [I am 5 feet tall] It has very similar leaves to a tulip, and looks quite similar, except it has not flowered and it is nearly 5' tall! Also, the bottom of the plant is very thick and feels very strong. It must be close to 1.5" in diameter and when you squeeze it, it feels very stiff and strong. Please help me out, I would just like to know what this curious plant is, growing in my garden. I haven't gotten a chance to post a picture yet, but I may later. Thank you! a smiley face :)
Canna, maybe? If so, it might be 6' tall before it flowers. A photo will go a very long way to IDing it correctly.
