I have that plant, too. It's Agave parviflora, commonly called Little Princess agave. Lovely plant, isn't it. It one of the smaller agaves, makes an excellent container plant. Likes full sun, takes a while to flower, I understand the plant has to be 8 to 10 years old first, which is ok because agaves die after flowering. It should produce offsets so you'll still have the plant after the original flowers. The white "strings" are fibers that peel off the outer leaf edges. Enjoy your beautiful plant. Nicely potted up, too.

Nice plant. I have it too.
Now I keep this plant on south window, temperature is about 13C (I have all my succulent plants in this temperature) and I watering it once in 2 or 3 weeks, but I do it very easy.

Hmm, that's kinda weird. If you Google "Agave filifera" AND "Agave parviflora" They both look to be the same plant!
