Identification: Unknown small bonsai tree

    Recently bought this small bonsai tree - unsure of the type so I can learn the best method of pruning.

    the leaves are a small, slightly fat dark green, with this unique root base.

    Any ideas of the type would be great.

    Ficus microcarpa, 'Ginseng' refers to they style of Bonsai rather than the herb.
