unknown shrub

    found this at a campground, so probably an escaped plant used in horticulture. near lake mead, nv. no flowers. leaves are sharp and glandular, slightly hairy.

    Edit: Found another plant, this one with immature fruits...still doesn't ring any bells for me!

    Yeah, good call. I was thinking it looked like a Eucalyptus, so I don't feel too bad for not knowing it...

    I did not suggest it earlier as I was thinking the Nevada location would be too cold. Looking at the appropriate climate map in the Sunset Western Garden Book I see Lake Mead is in a mild enough area for it.
