Hello shroom oficianados. I saw these mushroom two days ago growing just above one of the root line of a Otaheite apple tree,
google for telephorales see this: http://agrozoo.net/jsp/Galery_one_image.jsp?id_galery_obfuscated=e3fbfac9919648a7900a442ba92bb812 forinstance if this was realy attached to wood, which I doubt then mybe Onnia sp.
It does look a lot like Thelephora terrestris but lighter coloured and thin like paper folded as an oregami rossette. I`ll try to identify this strain, dont know how much luck i`ll have. Thanks BubikolRamios.
try also stereum sp. see this: http://agrozoo.net/jsp/Galery_one_image.jsp?id_galery_obfuscated=25e3734200774cf799468e29443f6613 I guess dry gets paper thin as you described.
It has some features of Stereum, however it more closely resembles telephorales, and unlike stereum which all appeared attached to the tree, i dug these from the earth next to the exposed root. i`ll follow the thread along the lines of Thelephora terrestris, maybe search through the myco files the the university of the west indies. These other pictures are for a mushroom i found about two months ago growing from a small dead stump (pictured). I thing it`s a ganoderma. It looks haggered now but was shiny when new. what do you think?
this reminds me on this: http://agrozoo.net/jsp/Galery_one_image.jsp?id_galery_obfuscated=8d2e2f5ed39b4da4924846c17e02faf2. Havent seen that i nature jet, took photo on some exebition. My filling is gut filling (-:, has nothing to do with shroom properties. Mybe yours is some relative to mine, or not. The only ganoderma known to me is Ganoderma lipsiense , has no stem and does ever never turn purple. Ok, mybe ganoderma, see this: http://www.gobe.si/Slike/GanodermaLucidum
Hi Zuzzo, I agree you have a Ganoderma there. When you post a new set of photos, for a different kind of mushroom, it is better to start a new thread for them, thanks. cheers, frog
Not too sure about the fistulina, but it does look like your ganoderma. I`ll try to culture it in a few weeks as time allows.
