Unknown plants - Help with identification?

    These plants were all found in Quebec (northeastern US/Can, boreal forest). Can anyone help identifying them?

    1. Cornus canadensis -or possibly Cornus suecica, which I am not familiar with - fall colour.

    2. Lichen, possibly Usnea sp. but I can't enlarge the photo to look at it more closely.

    3. Appears to be another Cornus canadensis -or possibly Cornus suecica.

    Agree re: thinking it is Anaphalis.
