Unknown plant

Discussion in 'Plants: Identification' started by Unregistered, Jun 23, 2005.

  1. I recently had an encounter with an unusual plant and can't figure out what it is. It has leaves that resemble elephant ear, about 1 foot long. It sprang up to a height of approx. 8 or 9 feet in a matter of weeks and has a woody stem. It was not a single sprout, but formed a large bush-like growth. I can't find an elephant ear plant that grows that large, with leaves that size, with a woody base. Any help would be great!
