    Hello All,

I was hoping some of the horticultural enthusiasts on this board might be able to help me identify the plant in the attached photo. We recently bought a new house, and this showed up in the garden - I didn't want to do anything with it till I knew what it was.

It has a long, slender stem, with single blade-like leaves along it. It's about 2 ft high and the top of the stem has now curled into a loop.

    Many thanks,
    -Eric.

    Wow, that was quick!

Thanks - I never would have thought of garlic, as it's located in what is otherwise a floral border.

How do you distinguish hard necked garlic Allium sativum var. ophioscorodon from soft-necked garlic Allium sativum var. sativum?
