    please could someone tell me the name of the daisy like pale mauve tall flower in the foreground

    Looks to be Cupid's dart/Catananche caerulea but I'm not 100%.

    That could also be a Salsify - Tragopogon spp. I'd guess Tragopogon pratensis - Purple Salsify or Oyster Plant.

    Compare

    It's a common garden weed in your area, but if you like it, you can also use it as an edible tuber.
