    Hi.

A couple of months ago I planted some seeds of parsnip, leek and other vegetables and now I have these very healthy looking plants taking over the planter.

For the life of me I don't recognize it from any of the vegetables I chose to plant.
Even my neighbours are curious :-)

I took one of them out to see the roots and there's nothing recognizable.
I don't see this growing anywhere else so not sure if this is a weed.

If you were looking for a challenge this may be the one.

    Thanks in advance,
    Adi

The inflorescence doesn't look quite right for Echinochloa crus-galli. Couldn't it be Setaria sp. (S. pumila or S. viridis)? What do you say Tyrlych?
