Unknown Plant Having Problems

    The picture of the attached plant in my office is appears to be dying, would anyone happen to know which plant is this and the best course of action to save it?

    The picture is pretty small and difficult to see leaf and stem detail for diagnosis. Can you post a couple new, closer pics? ...(if the plant is still alive of course) :-)

    I'd say cut it a few inches above the soil to force it to sprout anew. Perhaps you should pot it in fresh soil. Most houseplants fail to thrive because they are overwatered and/or the atmosphere is too dry. Others would disagree, but I think a plant like this is depressing and you should go buy a new one.
