Hi folks, I found this beauty at Walmart. I usually don't just buy a random perennials, but I couldn't resist this one.

I'm thinking it's either a type of echinacea, maybe a Helenian, or maybe a Goldenrod? What do people think?

Echinacea, at least tennesssis, angustifolia, and purpurea, have a hairy leaf margin. Solidago canadensis has some similarities - might want to compare your plant to this species - examining stem characteristics, leaf shape, veination....

Hi there, the Goldenrod you mentioned looks very similar based on images over their leaves on the Internet!

Believes definitely don't have a hairy margin like the echinacea, so that rules that out.

The stems don't seem to have the leafy fringe that most helenium on the Internet seem to have, so I Batcha you're right about the goldenrod.

Interesting, Astor is looking like a good candidate also...

The leaves of this one don't seem to have the same "butt" flare near the stem as the Astra leaves on the Internet, but asters seem to be pretty diverse.
