Unknown Outdoor Plant

    I have attached pictures of a plant which came from old assorted seed package. Does anyone know waht it is? It appears to thrive without much water.

    One of the selections of Malva sylvestris, looks like.

    I went to Google after your reply and found pictures which show this to be a species of Malva.

    One other thing to watch out for - we had one of those several years ago (because it was such a nice looking plant) and now we have seedlings coming up everywhere. At least they are easy to pull out.

    I think these are commonly called Mallows.
