I have been watching this plant grow on a little slice of green space here in Calgary since the spring. Now it is about six feet tall with about a dozen flowering spikes. .

It is very sticky, and it smells like pineapple. The filaments come from the corolla, there are five of them. There are hundreds of ovules inside the ovary. I know how to key out plants, but I have no idea where to start with this one.

Please let me know what other information I can provide, and don't refrain from using technical botanical language, I am keen to learn.
