    Something in the Aizoaceae, sorry don't know what but check out Carpobrotus and Mesembryanthemum for starters.

    He's done a bit of searching around using your suggestions and found this:

    Mesembryanthemum crystallinum

    Hi!

    I think you correctly identified the plant in these photos I took years ago as Mesembryanthemum! I searched Google photos and found identical-looking plants identified as Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum!!!
