Identification: Unknown jelly-like, orange, fungus

    An unknown fungus found at a friends house, growing on firewood. Located in North East Texas.

    This is two pictures of the same mushroom, the first is the underside and the second is the top.

    You might want to compare features with Auricularia as well as Tremella - the folds and the substrate made me think of this. Do you know what kind of tree the firewood was?

    With our recent showers we've had large pop ups in my area.....some larger then soft balls. These are both lovely photos of this jelly!
