Unknown houseplant?

    My daughter moved into an apartment and this poor thing was left. I am assuming one is a spider plant but have no idea what the other is. I would love to save it if someone would be kind enough to help me in the identification and care. Should I separate them? Thank you.

    I was just reading up on them and you're right...after I repot it I will put it in in a bright area with alot of direct sun...thanks
