Can you please help me identify these plants and tree. In the attachments titled Back Fence and Fence Planter, I'm referring to the plant beside the walking stick tree, and the tree just above it with bright green leaves.

    Thanks.

I'm seeing a photo of an Acanthus on the left and then two pictures of a whole bunch of different kinds of plants, those behind overexposed. Which of these are you wondering about? I'm not relating your description to what I am seeing very well.

Sorry for the bad photo. Im looking at the plant to the left of the walking stick tree. it has several large shoot like branches coming out of it, which flower with bright green growth. In the center, there are pea like buds with seeds in them. I have noticed htis year that it has self seeded through out the garden

The tree above it is planted in a pot behind the fence and has yellow/green leaves....quite beautiful in color. A friend said it was a maple of sorts ?

Ron, I think in pic. 3 the tree to the extreme right looks to be Corylus avellana Contorta (known in UK as Harry Lauder's walking stick). Over to you for the identification!
Wonder if the plants being queried are Euphorbia and Gleditsia?

Perhaps Gleditsia triacanthos f. inermis 'Sunburst' for the tree.
    Sunburst Honey Locust

I think the Sunburst is correct......2 out of 3 so far........this is great...thanks everyone. I'll research the Euphorbia and see what I can find.

Its an interesting plant, now I need to learn how to take care of it.

Probably Euphorbia cyparissias. An invasive species in your area.
