I had some seeds from a former neighbour and planted them earlier this year. This flower is the result and i have no idea what it is. Can anyone help? I would have thought a zinnia or something but the leaves are totally different from anything I have seen before.

Really! I didn't know there are poppies that look like that. Thanks for the help. Are they a specific sort of poppy?

I am amazed because I had poppies from my neighbour but hers were red and single petaled. would the seeds revert to something else?

Thank you so much Axel and Sundrop. You have been a terrific help!
