Hello I am a keen gardener and live in the South of England. I have a flower in my garden that I cannot identify. I think it is something quite common but I just don't know what it is and I want to plant some more of them. 4ft high, flowers June July August. Pale pink flower. When the leaves get old they become quite rough almost like a nettles leaves and have little tiny hairs on the back, but only on very old leaves, most leaves are smooth and green and about 1 inch long. I attach a photo. Very difficult to take seeds from which is what I normally do when I want to propagate. If anyone has any idea what it might be I would be delighted if you could let me know. My entire garden is grown from seed. I collect unusual seeds and then try to grow them. My seeds come from people all over England, but I just cannot remember what this one was. Thanks so much Jade
Thank you so much Abgardeneer and Davidm. Yes you are both absolutely right, and the link also confirmed it completely (thankyou). As soon as I saw the name in fact it rang a bell and I knew without a doubt that you were both right and that was my plant. But I would NEVER have remembered it myself. May I just say that it really is the most beautiful perennial. It flowers at that rather quiet time for gardens (unless you do annuals). And it's colour stands out even from a distance. I am so glad to have found this forum and to have found fellow garden and plant lovers. I will now explore the site some more and then go away and order some more of these Campanula Lactiflora seeds. Many thanks fellow gardeners Jade
